The Story …
Today we wanted to explain how a home that had been uninhabited for more than 20 years, was given a second chance; providing a new home, not only with character and history, but with all the modern comforts we expect today. Its owner is an architect specializing in home renovation and energy efficiency and his vast experience made it easy for him to see the potential of the property. Our sales negotiator knew straightaway what the architect was looking for – something economical in the centre of Mahon that had charm even though it was in a state of disrepair. His aim was to enjoy the process of rehabilitation that lay ahead. After only viewing four or five different properties, this expert decided on one of the apartments that Jose had shown him and in less than a month he had signed the contract in front of a notary and started the renovation work needed before being able to rent it out.

Menorca has long enjoyed its starry skies. In 2014 the Balearic Group of Ornithology and Defense of the Nature of Menorca (GOB) proposed to turn the Island into a Starlight Tourist Destination so that people could look at the night sky without any light pollution.
An environmental but also tourist request which the Insular Council managed to achieve in 2019 and Menorca was credited as a Starlight Reserve. With this approval the island has become the first destination in the Mediterranean to obtain the double accreditation of both a Reserve and a Starlight destination. It is also one of the thirteen regions of the world to have obtained a Reserve certificate and is one of the twenty eight destinations of the world to enjoy excellent star gazing.

As of 1st February the UK is no longer a member of the EU and is now in a period of transition until 31st December 2020. During this time there will be no changes to the terms for trading with the EU or the rest of the world, unless the rules change for the whole of the EU.
There will be no new procedures governing the movement of peoples’ or property ownership of Brits buying holiday or retirement homes in the EU.
OK it looks like the new certainty of the Brexit process is already encouraging many British buyers back into the market in 2020.

1 – Provision of items for photos: If necessary, we will provide decorative items to achieve striking and vibrant photos.

COLLABORATION PHASE 3
