Viva La Vino

Murcian Bodegas

We visited ” Vinaelena Bodegas in Jumila and it is worth the journey.

This is a family run business originally started by their grandfather in 1948. Making wine using a modest winepress in his home. Their father Paco Pacheco continued the tradition and expanding the business into the hands of the now third generation.

The tour takes you through the wine making process and it is very informative, tasting the grapes on the vine. We finished the tour by enjoying sampling the wine paired with cheeses and serrano ham.

A excellent selection at a very reasonable price. We came home with 6 bottles to enjoy over the rest of our time in Spain.

Time well spent.

Menorca for Foodies

On a recent visit to our Menorcan partners we stumbled across a lovely cosy restaurant in the centre of Mahon near the main shopping area.

Vedran (the owner) & Paul (Properties Overseas)

Perla kitchen & bar is an intimate restaurant right in the heart of the old town of Mahón. The owner of the family run restaurant is Vedran, he believes the right balance of great food, music and ambience are the right ingredients for the perfect afternoon or evening meal. We strive to find the best ingredients at competitive prices and have handpicked our favourite dishes from around the world and brought them to Menorca.

Imagine walking around historical Mahón and stepping down a side street into the our unique cool and welcoming Carrer D’Alaior ( typical med street), try a refreshing frozen cocktail or perhaps the local gin xorigeur with tonic? Perhaps you would prefer a cold estrella on tap?
You can be sure with our inticing menu, that will only be the start.

Verdan and the team will look forward to welcoming you soon on you on your next trip to Menorca.
